Day 1: Machame Gate to Machame Camp

Start your adventure with a drive from Moshi to Machame Gate (1,640m). After registration, trek through the lush rainforest with the sounds of wildlife in the background. Enjoy the biodiversity as you ascend steadily to Machame Camp (2,850m), where you’ll spend the night.
Day 2: Machame Camp to Shira Camp
Elevation: 2,850m to 3,850m
Hiking time: 4-6 hours
