Day 1: Arrival in Moshi

Day 2: Moshi to Lemosho Gate and Trek to Mti Mkubwa Camp

Distance: 6km
Time: 3-4 hours
Transfer to Lemosho Gate for registration and start your trek through the lush rainforest to Mti Mkubwa Camp. Enjoy the vibrant flora and fauna.

Day 3: Mti Mkubwa Camp to Shira 1 Camp

Elevation: 2,650m to 3,610m
Distance: 8km
Time: 5-6 hours
Trek through the forest and emerge into the moorland zone. Arrive at Shira 1 Camp with impressive views of Kilimanjaro’s peaks.

Day 4: Shira 1 Camp to Shira 2 Camp

Elevation: 3,610m to 3,850m
Distance: 5km
Time: 3-4 hours
Cross the Shira Plateau to Shira 2 Camp. This acclimatization day helps your body adjust to the higher altitude.

Day 5: Shira 2 Camp to Barranco Camp

Elevation: 3,850m to 3,960m
Distance: 10km
Time: 6-8 hours
Ascend to the Lava Tower for acclimatization, then descend to Barranco Camp. Enjoy the dramatic landscapes and the famous Barranco Wall.

Day 6: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp

Day 7: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp

Time: 7-9 hours
Traverse the alpine desert to reach Barafu Camp. Rest and prepare for your summit attempt, ensuring you get adequate sleep before the early morning climb.

Day 8: Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak (Summit) and Descent to Mweka Camp

Elevation: 4,640m to 5,895m (Uhuru Peak) and back to 3,100m
Distance: 6km ascent, 13km descent
Time: 12-14 hours
Begin your summit push in the early hours to reach Uhuru Peak at sunrise. After celebrating your achievement, descend to Mweka Camp for an overnight stay.

Day 9: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate and Departure

Elevation: 3,100m to 1,800m
Distance: 10km
Time: 3-4 hours
Complete your descent to Mweka Gate, where you’ll receive your summit certificate. Transfer back to Moshi for your departure or extend your stay if you prefer.
