The trail is gentle, offering a peaceful introduction to Kilimanjaro’s ecosystems. After 3-4 hours of hiking, you’ll arrive at Big Tree Camp (Mti Mkubwa), where you’ll camp for the night surrounded by the sounds of the forest.

After celebrating your achievement and taking photos, you’ll begin the long descent back to Barafu Camp for a short rest.
