Day-to-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Moshi

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where you’ll be greeted and transferred to your hotel in Moshi for a pre-trek briefing and overnight stay.

Day 4: Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut

Elevation: 3,720m to 4,703m | Distance: 9km | Time: 5-6 hours
Continue through the alpine desert, gradually ascending to Kibo Hut, located at the base of the Kibo Crater.

Day 5: Kibo Hut to Uhuru Peak (Summit) and Descent to Horombo Hut

Elevation: 4,703m to 5,895m (Uhuru Peak) and back to 3,720m | Distance: 6km ascent, 15km descent | Time: 10-14 hours
Begin your summit attempt at midnight, reaching Uhuru Peak at dawn. Celebrate your achievement with breathtaking views before descending to Horombo Hut for a well-deserved rest

Day 6: Horombo Hut to Marangu Gate and Departure

Elevation: 3,720m to 1,843m | Distance: 20km | Time: 6-7 hours
Complete your descent to Marangu Gate, where you’ll receive your summit certificate and transfer back to Moshi.
