Day 2: Moshi to Machame Gate and Trek to Machame Camp

Transfer to Machame Gate for registration. Begin your trek through lush rainforest to Machame Camp. Enjoy dinner and rest at the camp.

Day 3: Machame Camp to Shira Camp

Elevation: 3,000m to 3,850m
Distance: 5km
Time: 4-6 hours
Hike through moorland and enjoy panoramic views as you make your way to Shira Camp. Take time to acclimatize and explore the surroundings.

Day 4: Shira Camp to Barranco Camp

Elevation: 3,850m to 3,950m
Distance: 10km
Time: 6-8 hours
Trek across the Alpine desert and traverse the Lava Tower before descending to Barranco Camp. This day helps with acclimatization.

Day 5: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp

Elevation: 3,950m to 4,200m
Distance: 6km
Time: 4-5 hours

Day 6: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp

Day 7: Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak (Summit) and Descend to Mweka Camp

Day 8: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate and Departure

Elevation: 3,100m to 1,800m
Distance: 10km
Time: 3-4 hours
Complete your descent to Mweka Gate. Receive your summit certificate and transfer back to Moshi for your departure or extend your stay if desired.
