Day 1: Arrival in Moshi

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where you’ll be transferred to your hotel in Moshi for pre-trek briefings and gear check.

Day 2: Londorossi Gate to Mti Mkubwa Camp

Elevation: 2,100m to 2,650m (6,890ft to 8,690ft)
The trek begins through the lush rainforest, home to many wildlife species, to Mti Mkubwa Camp.

Day 3: Mti Mkubwa to Shira 1 Camp

Elevation: 2,650m to 3,500m (8,690ft to 11,480ft)
The trail rises from the forest into the moorland zone, offering your first expansive views of Kibo Peak.

Day 4: Shira 1 to Shira 2 Camp

Elevation: 3,500m to 3,850m (11,480ft to 12,630ft)
This day’s hike is relatively short, allowing for proper acclimatization as you traverse the stunning Shira Plateau.
