Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania
Arrival: Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO)

Overnight: Hotel in Arusha/Moshi.
Day 2: Marangu Gate (1,860m) to Mandara Hut (2,700m)
Distance: 8 km
Hiking Time: 4-5 hours

After breakfast, drive to Marangu Gate for registration and the start of your climb. The trail ascends gently through a dense rainforest, where you might see wildlife like colobus monkeys. The day ends at Mandara Hut, a forested campsite near the Maundi Crater, where you can take a short hike for great views.
Day 3: Mandara Hut (2,700m) to Horombo Hut (3,720m)

Day 4: Acclimatization Day at Horombo Hut (3,720m)
Hiking Option: Trek to Zebra Rocks (3,980m)

Day 6: Kibo Hut (4,703m) to Uhuru Peak (5,895m) to Horombo Hut (3,720m)
Distance: 21 km (8 km ascent, 13 km descent)

Your summit day begins around midnight. You’ll trek up the steep scree towards Gilman’s Point (5,685m) on the crater rim. From there, continue along the rim to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa at 5,895m. After celebrating your achievement, descend back to Horombo Hut for a well-deserved rest.
Day 7: Horombo Hut (3,720m) to Marangu Gate (1,860m)
Distance: 20 km
Hiking Time: 6-7 hours
Habitat: Moorland and Rainforest
After breakfast, descend through the moorland and into the rainforest, making your way back to Marangu Gate. Once at the gate, you will receive your summit certificates before returning to your hotel in Moshi or Arusha for a celebratory dinner.
Day 8: Departure
Transfer: To Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your departure or onward travel.
