Itinerary Overview


Day 1: Arrival in Moshi

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where you’ll be greeted and transferred to your hotel in Moshi.
Meet your guides for a briefing and equipment check before your climb.

Day 2: Marangu Gate to Mandara Hut (8,858 ft / 2,700 m)

Begin your trek through the tropical rainforest, filled with lush vegetation and the chance to spot wildlife like monkeys and birds.
Arrive at Mandara Hut, located just on the edge of the rainforest.
Distance: 8 km | Hiking Time: 4-5 hours

Day 3: Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut (12,205 ft / 3,720 m)

Arrive at Horombo Hut, where you will spend two nights.

Day 4: Acclimatization Day at Horombo Hut

After reaching the summit and celebrating, descend back to Horombo Hut for the night.

Day 7: Horombo Hut to Marangu Gate

Descend through the rainforest back to Marangu Gate, where you’ll receive your summit certificates.
Transfer back to Moshi for a celebration dinner and a well-deserved rest.

Day 8: Departure
